Ralph Eugene Meatyard

From a google search of Francesca Woodman, I was led to Ralph Eugene Meatyard. Born in Normal, Illinois, and then later based in Lexington, KY, the bulk of Meatyard's work seems to be of people (mainly children) in masks. Sometimes photos of people in masks just seem like someone simply put on a mask, but the way these are composed and the fact that they are taken in black and white film adds more to the photos I think. A conclusion I draw from these is children growing up too fast, or perhaps an older person who is still a child. So beautiful.
